Youth and Family Programs

Artistry’s Youth, Teen, and Family programs give little artists, growing artists, and families the chance to experience making art in professional studio spaces with caring and dedicated teaching artists. Classes and workshops are designed to bring fun and learning together while inspiring the next generation to not only appreciate the arts, but discover the wonder and joy of making something with their own hands. Art also brings generations together, and Artistry provides opportunities each season for family groups to create with each other. Art connects, art inspires, and art excites - at any age!

Teens learn all about fused glass or clay and create one-of-a-kind glass pieces in our Teen Glass and Teen Clay Workshops. In the glass studio, teens get the low-down on safety and cutting techniques as well as design and firing knowledge, and they get to explore this fascinating medium with one of the most fun teachers around, Chuck Burton, Artistry's glass studio manager. In clay workshops, teens will work on the wheel to learn the basics of throwing, try their hand at handbuilding, and learn all about glazing and firing with amazing, dedicated clay teachers. Keep an eye on class catalogs for new offerings in clay and glass for teens.

Fall Family Workshops
Winter Family Workshops

Family workshops are designed for kids and their adults who are excited about making art together. Family pairs or multigenerational groups of all sorts can team up and have creative fun together in our airy studios with a supportive Artistry teaching artist. We just ask that the elder participant is at least 16 years of age and youngest artists are at least 5. Prices are per participant.

Fall Youth and Teen Programs
Winter Youth and Teen Programs

Artistry’s Youth and Teen art program offers a newly-expanded schedule of classes and workshops for ages 4-18. Younger artists can enjoy accessible, shorter workshops that encourage exploration and process, while bringing home how art can help us express our emotions. As artists grow, the programs offer the chance to hone skills and dig into guiding personal expression. Teens can now find an artistic home at Artistry through specialized workshops and classes just for them, enjoying the opportunity to connect with other art-loving teens who are also seeking opportunities to grow their passion or try a new art form in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
