We are excited to welcome Alejandra Pelinka as the City of Bloomington's Director of Placemaking and Community Engagement. In this new role, Alejandra will work closely with Artistry, the Creative Placemaking Commission, and a diverse group of South Loop stakeholders. Together, we will help identify the art, culture and design investments that will best support the evolution of a distinctive, walkable, urban neighborhood in Bloomington’s South Loop, based on goals developed in the Creative Placemaking Plan adopted by the City and Artistry in 2015.
Coming soon to the Inez Greenberg Gallery: Artistry is pleased to present the 2016 Artistry Awash Watercolor Exhibition and Festival, running August 26 – October 14, 2016. This exhibition celebrates nationally and internationally recognized Minnesota watercolorists, their work, and the watercolor medium. As a companion to the exhibition, we’re offering master classes, hands-on workshops, an artist demonstration, a watercolor “wash-off” competition, and a panel discussion led by a selection of exhibiting artists. For more information on the exhibition and related events, please click here. Great theater on a budget! We're pleased to introduce several options that help make the joy of live theater accessible to all. Our Ticketed Preview performances take place the night before opening night and cost $9 (Black Box Theater) and $12 (Schneider Theater). Tickets for Pay What You Can Performances are available for any whole dollar amount starting at $1. We also offer Student Rush tickets (as available) 15 minutes before the start of every performance. These new options launch with the Talley's Folly Ticketed Preview on July 8. For dates and other details, please visit the individual production pages.
