Gifts in the Gallery 2024 - Application now open
Artistry, a non-profit arts organization based in Bloomington, MN is now accepting applications for their annual Gifts in the Gallery holiday sale, taking place December 5 - 23, 2024. Gifts in the Gallery is a juried, boutique-style sale located in the beautifully decorated Inez Greenberg Gallery in the Bloomington Center for the Arts. Emerging and established artists who create high-quality, unique gift items are encouraged to apply. Open to all artists 18 years or older, who reside in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. All artwork must be original and handmade. All artwork must be For Sale. Applications will be juried on originality, craftsmanship, and fitting for the Gifts in the Gallery holiday sale. Approximately 65 artists will be selected for participation.
Our goal is to make participation in the Gifts in the Gallery holiday sale as easy as possible for our artists. Artistry staff and volunteers will set up, staff, and manage the sale including the collection and payment of Minnesota sales tax; artists need not be in attendance to sell their work. Artistry will retain a 35% commission on all items sold at the sale. Through our experience items $50 and under sell better than higher priced items, jewelry specifically. You are welcome to have higher priced items but the majority of your work should be $50 or less. Artistry is not responsible or liable for stolen, lost, or damaged merchandise or for merchandise which is not picked up during the designated times.

Thursday, December 5: Gifts in the Gallery opens with the Festive Reception 5:30-8pm!
Saturday, December 14: Bloomington Indoor Farmers Market that brings lots of foot traffic and sales.
Monday, December 23: Final day of Gifts in the Gallery
Friday, December 27: Art Pick Up 3-7pm
Submissions will be accepted through Sunday, November 10, 2024 and the announcement of who has been chosen to participate will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024. If you are interested please fill out the submission form here.

2025-2026 EXHIBITIONS PROGRAM
Each year Artistry presents approximately five exhibitions in each of galleries (Inez Greenberg & Atrium) showcasing artistically excellent artwork executed in a variety of media and styles that express a wide range of creative voices. A curatorial panel is selected to review submitted proposals and select artists who will exhibit during the 2025 or 2026 exhibition years.

Who can apply?:
Emerging and established artists, artist groups, and exhibit curators residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin who are 18 years or older.
Proposals are reviewed by a jury panel who will select proposals based upon the following criteria:
Quality of the artwork/artistic excellence
Creativity and originality
Technical skills
Overall exhibition proposal
