DESCRIPTION:
Explore your artistic curiosity and dip your toes into many different techniques and media in this four-part series. We’ll pull inspiration from reclaimed materials and a variety of materials during this enchanting journey through our sketchbooks and art journals. Our focus will be on creative play and experimentation as we engage with new supplies and look at old ones in a new light. And our goal will be to let go of perfection so we can make room for the amazing discoveries that come through messy exploration.
Week 1: Giving ourselves permission to play – Making books from reclaimed materials
Week 2: Exploring collage and making our own collage fodder
Week 3: Using photos and magazine images as inspiration
Week 4: Mark-making and water-soluble media
