INTRO TO DRAWING
In this class, you will learn how to draw in a very traditional way. Topics to be covered will be everything from how to hold a pencil to design, perspective, and logical analysis of fundamentals in drawing and how to draw people.
During the classes, there will be helpful critiques along with discussions of Art History and artistic expression. There will be slides of drawing examples through history with an emphasis on how those drawings relate to what we cover in the class.
Materials you will need for the class include:
6b pencil, 4b pencil, Magic rub eraser, large kneaded eraser, pencil sharpener, large smooth newsprint pad (18x24) and a clipboard for the newsprint pad, Optional large smooth white drawing paper pad (18x24)

INSTRUCTOR: JOHN SANDY
John Sandy attended Moorhead State University for a BFA in painting and drawing followed by attending University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, with a teaching assistantship, where he received an MFA in painting and drawing. He then taught painting and drawing at Millard Fillmore college in Buffalo NY for 4 years.
In 1996, John started a premier resource for glass enthusiasts of all levels, Glass Endeavors in South Minneapolis, with Zoi Sandy and has taught stained glass at all levels, color, and design for stained glass artists, drawing, in addition to holding a Life Drawing Co-op every week for 2 years.
