Dennis Kalow
Since graduating from Mankato State University and the University of Minnesota, Dennis has spent a large portion of his career as a teacher and ceramicist.  As an educator he worked in Minnesota, Japan, and Venezuela before retiring in 2001.  Since then, architecture and more recently sculpture has occupied most of his time.  His current studio is located in NE Minneapolis.

“My sculpture is simply a response to the world I experience every day.  Seldom literal, I’m more interested in combining shapes, colors, and textures into objects that I find interesting, that fascinate me, and say what I want to say.  I love the variety of materials and the design challenges that are unique to working in three dimensions.”

Dennis’ work has been shown at dozens of local and midwest art galleries, art centers, and events.  It is part of several private collections and has recently been acquired by the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Minneapolis and the new Delta Sky Lounge at MSP Airport.

Jodi Reeb

Moving between two and three-dimensional forms, Jodi Reeb is constructing paintings and sculpture layer by layer using encaustic and pleated aluminum.  She is working to develop scale, geometry, spatial relationships, texture and color. These works challenge the visual properties of paintings and sculpture with translucency and dimensionality.   Strong physical elements come from layering and texture using Encaustic paint (beeswax, pigment and damar resin) while incorporating pleated organic aluminum sculptures elevated from the wall.

Jodi has been a full-time working artist and teacher in Minneapolis for over 27 years. She has taught printmaking, acrylic and encaustic painting as well as book arts classes/workshops at colleges and art centers regionally and internationally including Amsterdam, Ireland and Arrowmont and Haystack Schools of Art. Her artwork has been shown nationally receiving numerous public art awards and is in many private and corporate collections including Google Headquaters in NYC. She is the recipient of the Minnesota State Arts Board Grant in 2021 and 2018.  Jodi received a BFA degree in Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, MCAD, where she instructed printmaking for over 9 years. She received a Hinge Arts Residency in 2020 through the Springboard for the Arts.  She is a CORE teaching Artist for R&F Handmade Encaustic Paints and a teaching artist for Ampersand Art and Silverbrush Ltd. She teaches GOLDEN acrylic and encaustic painting workshops in her studio at Traffic Zone Center for Visual Art where she has been a co-op member for 17 years in North Loop area of Minneapolis.
