Artists Luis FItch and Xavier Tavera have created an exhibition that focuses on identity, culture and community as Mexican-born artists who have built their practices in Minnesota. Their works will be presented in pairs between both artists, never isolated, so that each piece enters into a visual conceptual dialogue. Together the exhibition explores themes of:
Identify and representation
Migration and belonging
Latino cultural narratives in Minnesota
The evolution of two artists practices over time
