For more than thirty years, Luis Fitch and Xavier Tavera have explored the complexities of identity through two distinct yet deeply connected artistic practices.

Tavera's photographs document individuals whose lives reflect the richness, resilience, and diversity of Latino communities. Fitch's paintings respond through a symbolic visual language inspired by Mexican iconography, personal mythology, and contemporary experience.

Presented together, the works reveal two ways of telling the same story: one grounded in observation, the other in imagination.

As visitors move through the exhibition, they encounter conversations about migration, belonging, family, labor, spirituality, memory, and transformation. Each pairing encourages reflection on how personal experiences become collective history and how identity is continuously shaped across generations.

Rather than offering simple answers, LA LUCHA SIGUE invites dialogue. It reminds us that every portrait reflects a life, every symbol carries memory, and every struggle holds the possibility of hope.
